Information Assurance

LOGTEC provides comprehensive information assurance programs on classified and unclassified systems that assess and implement integrated physical, operational, and personal security requirements. We provide disaster recovery, COOP, and contingency planning support, as required, for continued use of an information system, including software applications, which are processed on various computer platforms (e.g., personal computers, mainframes, and mid-tiers). We protect information and information dependent systems by preserving the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the systems. We support computer system security certification and accreditation (C&A) activities such as identifying threats, vulnerabilities, countermeasures, risk analyses, security test and evaluation, cost/benefit analysis of countermeasures, and development of security C&A packages to obtain designated approval authority (DAA) approval. LOGTEC manages, maintains, and updates system security authorization agreements (SSAAs). We perform as security advisor for new design development programs, working issues such as user Internet access, client/server applications, classified system interfaces, encryption, and public key infrastructure (PKI)/secure socket layer (SSL) port closures and waivers. Monitor the proper use of computer equipment in the office environment and assist in the proper declassification and disposition of controlled equipment, as required.

Experience

• Developed, tested and implemented Year 2000 (Y2K) contingency plans for business resumption at two Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Defense Supply Centers
• Developed and conducted training in support of the Y2K business resumption plans
• Coordinated the planning, development, and marketing of a standard alternate site in support of Defense Logistics Agency
• Currently providing Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and training at three Defense Supply Centers: Columbus, Ohio; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Richmond, Virginia.
• Currently providing COOP planning and training at three independent DLA agencies: the Defense Energy Supply Center; the Defense National Stockpile Center; and the Document Automation & Production Service.
• Currently providing COOP planning and training for the DLA Headquarters complex at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

• Our Contingency Planning Group offers our clients a diverse base of contingency planning experience in both the public and private sectors, to include the consulting services, information technology, networking, telecommunications, and healthcare industries.
• Several of our contingency planners are formally certified as professionals in the contingency planning field.
