Data Management

A data management architecture is required for the efficient deployment of legacy system modernization and reengineering initiatives, as well as for new applications. This architecture improves the problems of duplicate data and functionality among systems in addition to non-standard and inconsistent (dirty) data being passed from one system to another by functioning as a single repository for logistics data, logically consolidated, yet physically distributed. LOGTEC’s data management activities include, but are not limited to, performing data modeling; performing data administration and data management; supporting the metadata repository; ensuring data integrity; ensuring data security; analyzing and managing interfaces; planning, analyzing, and accomplishing data conversions; and managing the technical infrastructure (e.g., hardware, operating system software, etc.).

  • Deploying a data warehouse for the Air Force Depot Maintenance Activity Group (DMAG)
  • Performing data administration for the Air Force
  • Performing data mapping and analysis for the Navy
  • Designed and developing the Air Force's Data Depot project
  • Developed a data dictionary for the Joint Logistics Systems Center (JLSC)
